IFS Food
Alma has adjusted its production processes to the IFS Food standard, which guarantees control over the ability of a company in the sector to supply safe products. The IFS food certification (International Food Standard) was developed by the operators of the large-scale retail trade of France, Germany and Italy, with the aim of managing the processes and limiting the risks of accidents. Today it represents an international standard for the verification of private-label food products from distributors, retailers and wholesalers. Also adopted by the main Italian trade associations, this standard is applied at all stages of the production and processing chain of raw materials coming from agriculture and farms.
The requirements imposed by this standard refer to quality management systems, the HACCP methodology, and a set of requirements GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and GHP (Good Hygiene Practice). The goal is to ensure compliance with food quality and safety requirements as well as compliance with the laws governing the sector.
